What is a lash lift?

A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that enhances the natural lashes by curling them from the root. It gives the appearance of longer, fuller lashes without the need for extensions.

Who should get a lash lift?

The Lash Lift is for clients that are pleased with the length of their natural lashes but want a semi-permanent curled, enhanced mascara look.

How Lash Lift is done.

Your therapist will stick down your lower lashes, separating them from the upper lashes. Then they'll secure a silicone rod along your upper lash line with a lash glue and comb your lashes up from the roots around the silicone rod, sticking them into place, essentially painting the lashes upward from the root onto a silicone rod to give them a lifted, lengthened look. At Mien Salon & Spa, a tint is also applied which always makes your lashes look longer aswell.

How long does a lash lift last?

On average, a lash lift can last anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. However, this can vary depending on individual lash growth cycles and aftercare.

Is a lash lift safe?

When performed by a trained professional, such as one of our Mien spa therapists, lash lifts are considered safe.

Aftercare is crucial for maintaining the results of your lash lift. Here are some important aftercare instructions to follow:

1. Keep your lashes dry: Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 to 48 hours after the treatment. This includes avoiding steam, saunas, and swimming pools.

2. Be gentle: Avoid rubbing or pulling on your lashes. Treat them with care when cleansing your face or removing makeup.

3. Skip mascara and oil-based products: You can ditch your mascara because included in your lash lift is a tint! For the first 24 to 48 hours, it's best to avoid using mascara or any oil-based products on your lashes. These can weaken the lift and cause the lashes to lose their curl.

4. Brush your lashes: Use a clean spoolie brush to gently comb through your lashes daily. This helps to keep them looking neat and separated.

5. Schedule touch-ups: A lash lift wont last forever! To maintain the lift, you will need to schedule a follow up appointment every 6 to 8 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle. Remember, following these aftercare instructions will help you enjoy the full benefits of your lash lift and keep your lashes looking fabulous for longer.
