Does it hurt?

While the term 'Skin Needling' may sound painful, it's actually quite a tolerable treatment! It can often be described as a scratching sensation particularly around more bony areas of the face, which can cause some discomfort. However, Dermapen 4 system ensures quick, fractional, and nearly painless treatments that don't remove the skin's surface. This patented technology creates vertical channels in the skin, reducing harm, recovery time, and discomfort. Adjusting the speed and depth for each treatment allows for precise outcomes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

How long is the recovery after a Dermapen 4 session?

There is virtually no downtime although strict post care must be followed for the first week after treatment.

During the initial 1-3 days following the procedure, you may notice your skin feeling taut and lacking moisture. To alleviate this sensation, it is recommended to apply topical products provided after your session regularly.  It's essential to steer clear of direct sunlight and consistently use SPF30 or higher protection for at least 3 days.

How many treatments are needed?

A personalised treatment plan will be created for your individual needs. We would recommend 3 to 6 treatments with the option to add other complimentary therapies such as chemical peels and LED in combination with or inbetween treatments.
